Event Description
The sock knitter is looking forward to running another socks for beginners course starting in January. He’ll share the expertise he’s gained from knitting about 50 pairs
Over the four sessions he will take you through the anatomy of a sock, a lovely stretchy cast on, knitting in the round, constructing the heel flap & heel turn, shaping the gusset & toe and finally grafting the toes together.
All the sessions are on a Saturday 2 – 4pm and the dates are:
3 January – casting on & knitting in the round
17 January – heel flap & heel turn
31 January – gusset shaping
7 February – toe shaping & grafting
The cost is £75 for all 4 sessions (or you can pay £20 for individual ones if you don’t want to attend them all by contacting us directly to book your place). You will need a ball of sock yarn and either a mini circular needle or a set of double ended pins. For a 4ply yarn we recommend 2.5mm needles.
